Tasting: the art of recognising the quality of a beverage in light of its origin and age
It would be risky for me to make a complete presentation on the concept of quality as it relates to wine. However, you will find a few pointers for both red and white wines further on.
Like any art, tasting needs to remain above all a pleasure, even if it relies on a certain understanding of viticulture and winemaking. Behind a bottle of wine stands not only a wine lover, but also a merchant, critic, œnologist, and producer.
More of a creator than a producer, the winegrower does her utmost every year to make wines that are the best possible expression of her terroir. She earnestly hopes that her hard work and expertise will come through when her wine is tasted.
