The warmth and sunlight become more intense.
Vine growth speeds up: the leaves spread out, the canes grow, and the grape bunches start to form.

In the vineyard, it's time to:
  • Train the shoots on their guide wires
  • Plough
Shallow ploughing is carried out to eliminate weeds.
  • Sucker
This consists of removing non-productive shoots that sap the vine's strength. All secondary or unwanted growth is cut off. This job is done manually and requires a good understanding of viticulture.
In the cellar, it's time to:
  • Taste the new vintage
  • Top up barrels
